Six Sentence Sunday
February 26, 2012
This is something new I’m trying out in an effort to encourage me to actually use my lovely new website. I’m in the process of editing my first book for publication next year. Let’s see what I can come up with.
From my Golden Heart® finaling manuscript A Tale of Two Sisters:
“You’re practicing your flirting on me.” Once again, she tapped him with her fan. “I shall not allow it unless you confess immediately who you intend to pursue.”
He grinned maddeningly at her. “Then I suppose I shall have to remain woefully out of practice. A gentleman never tells.”

I spotted your tweet and came over. History was my worst subject at school and I don’t write it very often (Amelia Earheart as a child was the latest thing – a short story, oh and another set in the Wild West… so maybe I do
). I loved the authenticity of this and it tells (no, ‘shows’) so much about these characters in a short amount of words.
Thank you so much for your kind comment!
You’re very welcome. I meant to ask whether this is something you just plan to do yourself or whether you’d invite outside input – perhaps a complete story? If the latter, I’d be happy to add you to the flash fiction section of my http://morgenbailey.wordpress.com/submission-information page. I think it would be popular (I’d probably have a go) but something for you to think about.
Nice interaction between them– I like the hero already! Welcome to SSS!
Thank you!
How funny – I have an SSS page on my blog (Short Story Saturday)… I had deja vue for a moment.
I like a gentleman who never tells.
They’re great, aren’t they? Usually they have a very good reason for not telling…
